Call For Papers

Among the topics of the Conference are Genomics, Synthetic Biology, Bioethics, Biotechnology Policy and IPR, Big Data and Industry

We are pleased to invite the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation on areas related to the above theme. Abstract guidelines are given below.

The abstract must be prepared on a Single B5 page (176 x 250 mm or 6.9 x 9.8 in) with moderate margins (Top and Bottom 2.54 cm, Left and Right 1.91 cm). All contents, abstract and diagrams, figures (if any) should be in black and white.

The title must be formatted bold Times New Roman 12 pt centred font with single spacing if it extends to more than one line. Leave a 12 pt space.

Authors names should be in Times New Roman 11 pt centred font with Initials followed by space and Family Name. Additional authors should be on the same line separated by a comma and a single space. Underline the presenter’s name; Superscript a, b, etc after name for affiliation. Single spacing if Author names exceed one line. Leave a 11pt space between Author Names and Affiliation.

The Affiliation should be in Times New Roman 10 pt centred font after relevant superscript a, b, etc, followed by address, including country with additional affiliations in the same line separated by a semi-colon and a single space; Single spacing if affiliations exceed one line. Email of presenting author should be indicated in parantheses at the end. Leave two 10 pt.spaces before the commencement of Abstract Text.

Please submit your abstracts via email to  abstract@sabc2018.org   with the subject line as 'abstract submission'. The formatted abstract should be sent as an attachment in Microsoft Word Format. Please ensure that the abstract file is named as .DOCX where surname and initials are of the corresponding author.

ICGEB Grants

Participants are expected to cover their own costs for the conference. A limited number of grants covering registration fees and accommodation (twin shared) will be available for a selected number of students/junior scientists who are nationals of ICGEB Member States  http://www.icgeb.org/member-states.html. Eligible participants must submit an application online at https://www.icgeb.org/course-application-sri-lanka-2018.html

Partial support for travel will also be available from the organisers for a limited number of students.
